The heart is described as the organ that pumps the blood through our entire body this aligns perfectly with the word of God that portray the heart as the inner soul of a man`s being. Without the heart beating we will die (physically) and without a change heart we will never see the face of God (died spiritually)
Proverbs 4 vs 23 declares we should “guard our heart with all diligence” this is very important as your heart plays a very significant role in your service to God. We must be vigilant with what we receive and keep in our heart because the secret of our heart will be judged by the Word of God. Matthew 15 vs 19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts” be diligence with your heart, for whatever the heart conceives the mind will act upon. We need to fix our heart upon obedience to the Word of God to observe and do God`s will.
Matthew 5 vs 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” the word of God should be taken literally. God will not rescind on his word to please man, therefore sanctify and do a daily assessment to ensure that the content of your heart is right and pleasing to God. Our heart should be purged from all dead works that does not please God.
Prayer: Lord as I come before your presence today, I come repenting of who I am, please make me into what you would have me be. Take away all sinful and dead works from my heart and created in me a clean heart. I surrender my body, spirit and soul into your hand, please sanctify my heart and empower me to overcome all worldly desires that will cause me to sin against Thee and thine word. I give you my heart, please give me a heart like Thine. Amen
